Not me

Dunja en Eva zijn twee nogal verschillende danseressen.
Dunja is fragiel, haar bewegingen kunnen onnavolgbaar zijn, haar mysterie kan een podium vullen.
Eva is aards, haar levenslust en gulle lach straalt het publiek tegemoet.

Maar in 'Not me' zijn ze niet zichzelf. Ze zijn ook niet samen. Ze zijn hooguit één. Soms.
En er is nog een man. Hij beweegt zich in een andere tijdzone, die zich toevallig in dezelfde ruimte bevindt. Met zijn pijl en boog jaagt hij zijn rust na.

'Not me' is heel veel niet: ondanks twee danseressen geen pas-de-deux, ondanks twee vrouwen en een man geen relatiestuk, ondanks simultaneïteit geen harmonie.
'Not me' is wel een intrigerend en intens spel over drie mensen die niet zichzelf zijn. Ze veranderen, dat is genoeg.







Danseres Dunja Jocic maakte in 2007 haar eerste choreografie. Deze solo met de titel 'No flowers, please' won de eerste prijs, de Publieksprijs en de speciale prijs van Aleksandar Israelovski voor Innovatie op het festival 'Choreographic Miniatures' in Belgrado. Het prijzengeld stelt haar in staat om een nieuw stuk te maken voor het BELEF-festival van 2009. Dit is het duet 'Not me', waarin ze zelf danst met Eva Puschendorf. Het duet wordt in 2008 als 'work-in-progress' gepresenteerd in Belgrado en Groningen.

Dunja Jocic (Belgrado, 1978) volgde de balletschool Lujo Davico in Belgrado en studeerde in 2002 af aan de Rotterdamse Dansacademie. Ze danste onder andere in werk van Hans van Manen en Emio Greco/PC en is vooral bekend van haar werk met Club Guy & Roni. Ze danst in de voorstellingen Poetic Disasters, The language of walls en Myrrh & Cinnamon.

Dunja and Eva are two very different dancers.
Dunja is fragile, her movements can be matchless, her mystery can fill a stage.
Eva is earthly, high spirits and her hearty laugh engulfs the audience.

But in 'Not me' they are not themselves. They are not even together. At the most they are one. At times.
And then there is a man. He moves in another timezone, that by chance is situated in the same space. With bow and arrow he pursues his peace and quiet.

There is a lot 'Not me' is not: in spite of two dancers it is no pas-de-deux, in spite of two women and a man it's not a relation-piece, in spite of simultaneity there is no harmony.
'Not me' ìs a captivating and intens performance about three people who are not themselves. They change, that's enough.





Dancer Dunja Jocic made her first choreography in 2007. This solo, entitled 'No flowers, please', premiered at the international festival 'Choreographic Miniatures' in Belgrade. It received the First price, Public price and the Special price of Aleksandar Israelovski for Innovation. The First price consists of a budget of €10.000,- to make a new piece for the BELEF-Festival 2009. This will be the duet 'Not me', in which Dunja will dance herself together with Eva Puschendorf.
Dunja Jocic (Belgrade, 1978) studied at the Balletschool Lujo Davico in Belgrade. In 2002 she graduated from the Rotterdam Dance Academy. She danced in works by Hans van Manen, Emio Greco/PC and others. She is renowned for her work with Club Guy & Roni. She performed in their pieces Poetic Disasters, The language of walls and Myrrh & Cinnamon.
