Grand Theatre Producties Feri de Geus Beautiful people (een co-productie met St. Le grand cru)  'Beautiful people' is een dansprogramma in een speciale vorm. Het publiek neemt plaats op een rijdende tribune. Het eerste deel van de voorstelling ontrolt zich voor de toeschouwer als in een film. Dit eerste deel is een reprise in gewijzigde bezetting van het beeldschone 'Zondag' uit 1993, het tweede deel, 'Maandag', is geīnspireerd op Cervantes' 'Don Quichote'. "(..) Maar de grootste dwaasheid is het de wereld te zien zoals hij is en niet zoals hij zou moeten zijn." (uit: De man van La Mancha) Onder dit motto presenteert danstheatermaker Feri de Geus de twee voorstellingen die letterlijk en figuurlijk inzoomen op het schemergebied van gekte en gezond verstand. 'Zondag' is gebaseerd op de roman 'Fratelli' van de Italiaanse schrijver Carmelo Samonā. In zijn boek beschrijft Samonā de relatie van een gezonde man die samen met zijn psychisch zieke broer een groot appartement bewoont. Aangrijpend is de belangeloze liefde die de twee broers voor elkaar voelen. Beide broers schijnen hun eigen taal te spreken, maar met name de 'gezonde' broer doet, in al zijn zorgzaamheid, zijn uiterste best om via fysiek spel de gedachtenwereld van zijn 'zieke' broer te ontcijferen. De relatie tussen de twee broers wordt gespiegeld en verdiept door de verschijning van een vrouw. Deze vrouw heeft gekozen voor een solitair bestaan, teleurgesteld als ze is in de mensen uit haar verleden. Langzamerhand raakt ze gecharmeerd door de band tussen de broers en tracht op te gaan in hun spel. In 1993 werd 'Zondag' gespeeld door Andreas Denk, Fabian Galema en Eva van Heijningen. De rollen van de laatste twee worden in deze herneming overgenomen door Thomas Falk en Dalia Zaltron. In 'Maandag' treden nog eenmaal drie figuren uit Cervantes' 'Don Quichote' op de voorgrond. Na vierhonderd jaar ronddolen willen zij hun onsterflijkheid opheffen. Nu idealisme met dwaasheid verwisseld wordt, en onsterfelijkheid niet door heldendom, maar door de wetenschap bereikbaar lijkt, wordt het de hoogste tijd voor hen om afscheid te nemen.  Feri de Geus neemt binnen het Nederlandse (dans)theaterveld een bijzondere positie in. Zijn producties bewegen zich op het snijvlak van dans en toneel. Hij is te omschrijven als een theatermaker die de taal van de dans als voornaamste medium hanteert en daarin andere disciplines zoals zang en gesproken woord integreert. Dit, gecombineerd met een sociale en morele betrokkenheid die zich vertaalt in een sterke thematiek, geeft het oeuvre van De Geus een geheel eigen karakter. Zijn voorstellingen laten zich lezen als een niet-lineair verhaal, met vele betekenislagen van concreet tot symbolisch.
In de afgelopen negen jaar heeft choreograaf Feri de Geus als theatermaker negentien grote en kleinere producties tot stand gebracht.Sinds 1995 ondersteunt het Grand Theatre het werk van Feri de Geus. The audience is seated on a moving stand. The two parts unfold before the audience like a film. The first part is a remake with a partly new cast of the successful performance 'Zondag' ('Sunday'), dating from 1993, the second part, 'Maandag' ('Monday'), is inspired by Cervantes' Don Quixote. (from: The Man from La Mancha) True to this motto chreographer/director Feri de Geus presents two performances which zoom in on the twilight zone between sanity and insanity. 'Zondag', a repeat performance dating from 1993, is based on the novel 'Fratelli' by the Italian author Carmelo Samonā. In his book Samonā describes the relationship between a healthy man and his mentally ill brother who share a large apartment. The unconditional love between the two characters is very moving. Both brothers seem to speak their own language, but in particular the 'healthy' brother lovingly tries to comprehend the realm of thought of his 'ill' brother by playing physical games. The relationship between the two brothers is reflected and deepened by the appearance of a woman. This woman, disappointed in the people from her past, has chosen for a solitary existence. Gradually she becomes mesmerized by the unconditional love of the brothers and tries to be part of their games. In 'Maandag' three characters form Cervantes' 'Don Quichote' step in the limelight one more time. After having roamed around for four hundred years they wish to end their immortality. Sice idealism is mistaken for foolishness and immortality now seems to be achieved by sciece rather than by heroīsm, it is high time for them to say goodbye. Feri de Geus holds a unique position in the world of Dutch (dance) theatre. Every production is a hybrid of dance and drama. He could be described as a choreographer whose most important medium is the language of dance in which he integrates other disciplines such as singing and the spoken word. Combined with a social and moral engagement which translates into a powerful theme, this characterizes Feri de Geus' oeuvre as being unparalleled in the world of dance. His performances read like non-linear stories with many layers of meaning from concrete to symbolic.
