In mei spelen ze in Valladolid in Spanje en in juli staan ze in Vlissingen.
Het wachten is voorbij. De achtervolging begint.

AktieMan is terug!

Harder, beter, sneller, vaker, meer!
De Jongens hebben in de afgelopen jaren een eigen stijl ontwikkeld: energiek, fysiek, absurd en vol zwarte humor. Hun voorstellingen worden voortgestuwd door herkenbare beelden en een eigen onnavolgbare fantasie. Zij halen hun inspiratie uit het het nieuws, b-films, comics en de fantastische, gestoorde verhalen van de 6 miljard mensen die deze geweldige planeet bevolken. Het is de te sterke koffie voor je gaat slapen, de clown die maar niet dood wil gaan, de vliegtuigbrandstof in je auto, de napalm op je golfbaan.
Met hun eigenzinnige vorm van theater maakten De Jongens in Nederland furore op het Oerol Festival, De Parade en Noorderzon. Eerder maakten ze 'Monaco', 'Hoop&Loos' en Jongenshart. Met hun vierde productie Onder Constructie reisden ze de wereld over. Na vriend en vijand vorig jaar te hebben verrast met 'AktieMan!' gaan ze dit jaar in een een hogere versnelling door met: 'AktieMan2'.

De Jongens (literally: The Boys) is a young theatre company from the North-Netherlands and was founded by Jan Joost Alberts, Mats Boswijk, Taco van Dijk and Hans Kroodsma in 2003. Maarten Smit joined in 2005. Over the years they have performed at the Oerol Festival, Noorderzon and the Parade, and have surprised their audiences with a combination of physical acting, suspense and humour.
In the past few years they have developed their own particular style: energetic, physical, absurd and replete with black humour. Their performances are driven by recognizable images allied to their own inimitable imagination. In doing so, they make a deeper layer accessible to a public consisting of both young and old. The central theme in their work is: the collision between humour and violence. They draw their inspiration from the news, B-films, comic strips and the fantastic, disturbed narratives of the 6 billion people who inhabit this marvellous planet.
The strength of De Jongens is the energy with which they shape everything on stage. It is the coffee that is too strong before you go to sleep, the clown who will not lie down and die, the aeroplane fuel in your car, the napalm on your golf course. With the performance entitled Under Construction they performed at the Oerol Festival, Festival Etcetera, Simmerdeis, Karavaan, and in their hometown of Groningen in 2008. They were also very successful at several international summer festivals including La Strada in Graz, Austria, and the Aurillac Festival in France. In 2009 they continued their 'Under Construction' tour in South Africa and New York!
